What were the legendary Britannia Manor Haunts?  No-holds-barred full-contact haunted houses. Tough to get in, and tougher to get out. Victims swam, crawled, climbed, negotiated, solved puzzles, and ran like hell. And, of course, enjoyed frights in some imaginatively terrifying ways…

Admittance into these terrifying experiences was traditionally free with local theater groups selling a some tickets as a fundraiser. Of course, as most were handed out on a first-come-first-served basis on performance nights the line was a bit long – particularly since some people camped out for a week for their chance at terror.
